Rain and more rain, with the tail end of a hurricane forecast to hit our beaches it was doubtful we would manage a full match, with 10 of us braving the conditions we set about getting battoned down before the worst of the weather hit.

From the off it was a struggle and the socialising side of the club went out the window with everyone sitting huddled up in their shelters, the fishing was very slow with only 5 anglers managing to find anything in size, although Chris Dimmock did manage an undersize scorpion fish, with an hour left to go we were down to 5 members left and by the end of the match only 4 men were left standing.

Tony "Yoda" Thomas took top honours , closely followed by Paul "Scoop" Fenech and then Dene "Smoooth" Conway, in joint 4th place was Peter "Sandy Coke" Loke and Peter "no nickname yet" Morse, with the wind and rain becoming unbearable in the last 30 minutes we were all very happy to get back to the shelter of the carpark.

Only one more match to go and Peter Loke is still in pole position for the winter accumulator trophy, over 100 pts behind him is Tony Thomas, but as we all know it could still be anyones, with the hope of codling turning up at trimingham like last year..
